GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
As its name suggests, GE’s Profile series is aimed at those who wish to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchens. This fridge is loaded with them all, from a Keurig K cup coffee maker on the door to a sophisticated dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I expected more.
This fridge is a great option, despite the slight blip. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Furthermore, it holds a good amount of frozen foods as compared to similar models.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has a ton of customization options. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.
It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a few other GE refrigerators that allows you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to pour out at once. french door refrigerator freezer does have a countdown on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.
Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like a seamless piece in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that helps keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and has dual compressors for maximum preservation of food. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This refrigerator is the ideal option for households with a single member or kitchenettes that want a built-in look and top of the line food preservation.
This fridge was rated the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a fraction - this is crucial to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well. It reached the initial temperature set within a matter of hours, and remained at the temperature throughout our testing.
Bosch is a household name for its high-end appliances. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The LG LRFLC2706S is an excellent counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage in the frame's compact size. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins on each door, two rows of shelves that capture spills and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded down to make space for taller items. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.
One of the best aspects of this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, which makes it simple to move ice into the fridge for use when needed. The freezer also comes with clever design features, such as sliding drawers that can help you organize your items. It has a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate one for ice.
Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you control the temperature of your fridge and lighting using your smartphone. It's a nice way to control and monitor your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.
However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. This fridge took longer to defrost food and chill it than some others we tested. This is likely due to the bigger capacity.
Another issue with this refrigerator is its doors. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're still difficult for taller people to pull closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they had front-mounted handle.
The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the benefits of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which helps make it a desirable choice.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a simple fridge that might not be as appealing like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make a an excellent choice. Its most notable feature is the temperature adjustable drawer that helps keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser as well as a good ice machine that works fast.
The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is another great feature. The drawer allows you to divert some of the refrigerator's cooling power directly into this area, which means you can store foods that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted by using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.
During my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in various parts of the fridge. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray very far from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a great performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.
The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It is capable of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared to the glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
